Privacy policy

This website belongs to Bespoke AVS (Audio Visual & Security), based at Unit 1 Yew Tree Industrial Estate, Aylesford, Kent ME20 7ET, working across Kent, the South East and London. We are the data controller for anything you send us through it.

There is one form on this website, the enquiry form on the contact page. It sends us exactly this and nothing else:

The form also carries two invisible anti-spam checks: a hidden field that only an automated bot would fill in, and a timer that notices a form submitted impossibly fast. Neither collects anything about you, and neither is stored.

We do not ask for card or bank details anywhere on this website, and there is nowhere to create an account.

When you press send, your browser passes the form straight to Web3Forms, a third-party form service that turns it into an email. They process it on our behalf, which makes them our processor, and they handle the message only to deliver it. Their own privacy terms are on their website.

The email arrives at forms@seonat.co.uk, an inbox managed by Seonat, the agency that builds and looks after this website, and is passed straight on to us so we can reply. Seonat act as a processor for us too. Nobody else is sent your enquiry.

We do not sell your details, we do not share them with other installers or lead-generation companies, and we do not add you to a mailing list. There is no marketing list on this site to be added to.

Under UK GDPR we rely on our legitimate interest in answering someone who has asked us for a quote or for advice. If you contact a security and AV installer, replying to you is exactly what you expect us to do, and we use your details for that and nothing else.

If the enquiry turns into a job, we then hold your details because we need them to carry out the work, to honour warranties on the equipment we fit and to keep ordinary business and tax records.

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept only as long as we need them to deal with the conversation, and are then deleted from the inbox as part of normal housekeeping.

If we do work for you, we keep the job record, including your contact details and the address we worked at, for as long as we need it for warranties, guarantees, servicing history and ordinary business and tax records. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

No cookies are stored on your device unless you accept them. The first time you visit, a short banner asks whether you are happy for us to use analytics and advertising cookies. Accept and we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, which set cookies whose names start _ga, to count visits, show us which pages and services people look at, and measure our advertising. We never see your name or contact details from this, only anonymous visit figures.

Reject, or simply ignore the banner, and Google's tag is told not to store or read anything on your device. No cookies are set, nothing identifies you and no advertising profile is built. Google still receives an anonymous, cookie-free note that a page was viewed, which cannot be tied to you or to your next visit. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, and if you accepted before and later reject, we delete those Google cookies straight away.

We also record when someone clicks the phone number or the email address, and when an enquiry form is sent successfully, so we can see which parts of the site actually help people get in touch. Those records say where on the page the link was clicked and which service the enquiry was about. They never include your name, your number, your email address or your message.

The one thing we store without asking is your consent choice itself, kept in your browser so we do not keep asking you. Our host, Vercel, keeps ordinary server logs to run and secure the site, and your enquiry is sent to Web3Forms only when you press send.

There is no embedded map and no social media widget on this site, so nothing loads a third-party tracker behind your back. The Google reviews shown on the site are fetched by our own server, not by your browser, so visiting a page does not tell Google anything about you.

You can, at any time:

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Links to other websites, such as our Facebook and Instagram pages or Google Maps directions, take you off this site, and we are not responsible for what those sites do with your data once you are there.
