Suburban London, with a lot of flats
Bromley is a mix of interwar and post-war semis, some substantial older property on the better roads, and a considerable amount of flatted accommodation including newer blocks. That last part is what makes the work here different to the Kent towns.
Communal entrances bring their own problems: entrance panels that take weather and constant use, cabling that has to reach every flat, and systems that must survive residents changing without anybody having to rewire. A system designed around the front door and the front windows misses it entirely. So on this housing stock the useful design covers the side gate and the rear, and treats the frontage as deterrence rather than detection.
Working across the London boundary
Bromley is the far end of what we cover and we are straight about that. It is roughly an hour from the unit at Aylesford, which is fine for installation and fine for planned servicing, and it is worth both sides knowing that before a system goes in rather than afterwards.
